Pelo que li, esta questão do team, seria como vc ter várias Máquinas
Virtuais inteligadas formando uma rede entre elas. E como elas fariam
parte deste "team" você poderia gerenciar características da rede como
largura de banda, que afetaria todas as máquinas pertencentes ao
grupo.

quanto a clonagem, não entendi. Aparentemente não seria apenas a
questão de gerar uma cópia da máquina virtual como um todo, mas talvez
gerar uma cópia com  alguns dispositivos compartilhados entre elas.
Bem, são só expeculações.

Quando tiver um tempinho vou testar pra ver.
