Olá Silvio,

Um exemplo...

Se vc usar a política padrão OUTPUT DROP e não tiver uma regra do tipo:

/sbin/iptables -t filter -A OUTPUT -p icmp -j ACCEPT

acontece isso:

root at server:/etc/# ping www.gmail.com
PING googlemail.l.google.com (209.85.133.18) 56(84) bytes of data.
ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted
ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted
ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted
