Description From Phil Spagnolo 2007-10-02 00:18:35

In FreeBSD using quagga 0.99.8, the ./configure command does not find
the struct in6_aliasreq, so HAVE_STRUCT_IN6_ALIASREQ is not defined
within config.h. This cause the functions if_prefix_add_ipv6 and
if_prefix_delete_ipv6 in ioctl.c to return 0 for all calls. This
problem does not occur on the same machine with 0.98.x.

The solution seems to be to change the configure file to recognize that
the struct exixts, since the configure command works fine 0.98.x.

Example Problem:
conf t
interface eth0
ipv6 address a::1/64

The address appears when "show interface" is ran, but it does not appear
in the kernel display using "ifconfig".
