Site convoca torneio de hackers para domingo 
O Departamento de Segurança Interna dos EUA disse ter 
conhecimento do campeonato, mas não planeja emitir nenhum 
alerta formal 


Washington - O governo e empresas do setor de tecnologia 
avisam que hackers pretendem lançar um ataque contra milhares 
de sites da internet no domingo, dia 6 de julho, numa espécie 
de “campeonato” de desfiguramento de páginas que poderá 
atrapalhar seriamente o tráfego online. 

Os organizadores do torneio estabeleceram um site, o defacers-
challenge.com, enumerando as regras que os invasores de 
sistemas devem seguir para participar. O site aparentemente 
funciona a partir da Califórnia (EUA). 

O Departamento de Segurança Interna dos EUA disse ter 
conhecimento do campeonato, mas não planeja emitir nenhum 
alerta formal. “Francamente, concursos de hacker acontecem 
com freqüência, e não achamos que todos mereçam chegar ao 
nível de alerta”, disse o porta-voz David Wray. Não obstante, 
órgãos do governo americano foram instruídos a intensificar a 
segurança de seus sites.
