I expect this  wont go  anywhere  as nobody was/would have been able to sue them for lack of 16gb storage  at the time of launch.

In other  words, the OS always takes up space, and the usable remaining part  will always be smaller than advertised. And that it  is getting smaller is  irrelevant.

Besides... 16gb on a  portable device like that is a bit rude these  days. Their smallest model  should be like 64gb.

However  since people *keep buying them*  with  16gb,  they wont  stop  doing it.
